Machinery and installations in agriculture face dirt, moisture, movement and mechanical loads every day. Rubber profiles are therefore used for sealing, protecting, damping and finishing a wide range of constructions.
DG Rubber Profiles makes rubber profiles for agricultural machinery, farm installations and technical applications in arable farming, horticulture and livestock farming. With more than 4400 moulds, there is a good chance that a suitable profile shape is already available. If the right cross-section is missing, a new profile can be developed from a technical drawing, sample or dimensions.

Rubber solutions for agricultural applications
Rubber performs various functions in agricultural machinery. A profile can seal parts against dirt and moisture, protect edges from contact or reduce vibration between structural parts.
The right solution depends on the machine, the available space and the load. A door, hood or panel may need a flexible sealing profile. On transport parts, machine frames or other contact points, protection against knocks and wear may matter more.
That is why we look not only at the shape of the profile, but also at hardness, material and function.
Commonly used rubber profiles in agriculture

Sealing profiles
Sealing profiles are used around doors, hatches, hoods and other joints on machinery and installations. The profile helps keep dirt, moisture and other influences out of the construction.
The desired shape and hardness are matched to the space in which the profile must function and the degree to which the rubber is compressed.

D profiles and impact protection profiles
Where machines or structural parts regularly make contact, D profiles and impact protection profiles can provide protection.
The rounded outer side of a D profile helps absorb loads, while the flat mounting side allows practical fixing. Impact protection profiles are suitable for applications where protection against knocks and wear is the priority.
Custom rubber profiles for agricultural machinery
Agricultural machines are developed for specific tasks, so a standard rubber profile does not always suit the available space or construction.
A technical drawing, existing sample or clear dimensions then provide the basis for custom work. We first check whether one of the more than 4400 existing moulds is suitable.
If the desired cross-section is not among them, a new mould can be developed. The profile shape, dimensions, material and Shore hardness are matched to the technical application.
The result is a rubber profile that becomes part of the machine construction, rather than a standard solution that has to be made to fit afterwards.
Material matched to the working environment
Agricultural applications can differ greatly. A profile in a machine used mainly indoors has different requirements from rubber that is constantly exposed to sunlight, moisture or large temperature changes.
DG Rubber Profiles works with various materials, including TPE, EPDM, neoprene and silicone. The right material is determined by the actual conditions and technical requirements.
Hardness also plays an important role. Softer rubber can deform more and is useful for sealing or damping. A harder version offers more dimensional stability under greater mechanical loads.
Material resistance is therefore assessed for each application rather than assumed across all rubber profiles.
From technical question to production
- Application. An enquiry starts with information about the machine or application. A drawing, photo, dimensions or existing profile give insight into the desired shape and size.
- Material and method. The material, hardness and production method are then determined.
- Mould check. Next we check whether an existing mould is available. If custom work is needed, a new profile shape is developed.
- Production and delivery. Once approved, production takes place in the Netherlands, followed by delivery in the agreed version and quantity.
This approach allows for both new developments and recurring production series.
Applications in arable farming, horticulture and livestock farming
Rubber profiles are used in various parts of the agricultural sector. Think of machines for harvesting and processing, conveying installations, sorting systems, doors, hoods, panels and other technical constructions.
Arable farming and horticulture
In arable farming and horticulture, the emphasis is often on machinery and installations that are used intensively and regularly exposed to dirt and moisture.
Livestock farming
In livestock farming, sealing, protection and a durable finish on constructions also play an important role. For horse stables, DG Rubber Profiles also supplies rubber stable tiles and custom stable wall lining and trailer rubber.
The exact solution is always matched to the function of the profile within the machine or installation.
Why DG Rubber Profiles?
DG Rubber Profiles combines in-house production with a large stock of moulds and fully bespoke work. With more than 4400 moulds available, for many enquiries we can first look for an existing cross-section. If the desired profile is not among them, a new shape can be developed.
We respond to enquiries within 24 hours.
Frequently asked questions about rubber profiles for agriculture
Which rubber profiles are used in agricultural machinery?
Commonly used solutions are sealing profiles, rubber strips, D profiles and other protective profiles. Which version is suitable depends on the machine, function and load.
Can an existing rubber profile be reproduced?
Yes. An existing piece of profile or a technical drawing provides a good basis. We first check whether a suitable mould is available. If not, a new cross-section can be developed.
Are rubber profiles available in different hardnesses?
Yes. The Shore hardness can be tailored to the application. Softer rubber can deform more, while harder rubber offers more dimensional stability.
Can a profile be developed specifically for series production?
Yes. A custom profile can be developed from a drawing or sample and then produced in the quantities you need.
